They find life terrifying and run to any sideshow carnie that promises shelter from reality

Theres nothing but "Side Show Bob" here with a typical Florida creationist =Kent Hovind's little talk, how stupid to think our Earth & moon are 4bil yrs old. Just as we saw with that other carnvial act with Ted Haggard who was leading 30mil evangelicals in the US and both took deserved falls from grace, which they all do.

There's always this presence of this dumbed down IQ in America, its culturally passed on generationally in certain geograpahically protected shells that wished to remain so isolated. Exactly that meme/ mental virus idea that Dawkins related, its very easy to understand. What is hard to comprehend, people so willing to satisfy themselves with nutjob preachers like this & fall for this presentation of non stop simpleminded fraud. (such is that lack of education in the southern poor lower middle classes there)

There's no doubt he's in it for the money note the nepotism, preaching is a family business like moonshining. Also about maintaining control & definite "us vs them" cultural insulation. Florida typically in rural areas has always been extremely very whacked out, you can follow that all the way over to brumar in Texas thru AZ, where we're stupid & proud of it!

( gregoree would fit right in with the other swamp dwellers )

Btw, overwhelming fact blended with humor always makes a great combination and the best satire, that very funny but instructive "50 Reasons to reject evolution" post of yours, discovered by doing thread search for "Hovind". (Who could forget that snake oil salesman Kent Hovind?)

Looks like Stephen Meyer has been blown out of the water now too, they keep building strawmen, they keep going up in flames as fast as they build them. And now they put out another film just a moronic with the same approach, the next 20yrs should be interesting, running out of wiggle room.

I read that book by Bradbury when it first came out. Great writing!
