David - no need to reply to this.

However, it is heartening to know that you're still around.

Peter

P.S. But your presence does shoot down a terrific conspiracy theory.

Hi David:

Nice to hear you have a broker who has done you some good. I personally feel that it's hard to tell the motivation behind a broker. Is (s)he really serving your interests? But, if you've had success with your retail broker, then more power to you. I think that more information nowadays is available to the retail investor and you can find out the same info by surfing around. Judgement, on when to buy and sell is problematic though. I think that this is where possibly a full service broker can come in handy.

But, for a small time client like myself, does a broker who has many more well monied clients feel any interest in serving me? How much commish can a broker get from my small trades? I don't think that a broker would feel it worthwhile looking after my interests over that of someone making much larger trades. I think I'd be low priority and last in line. I'd get the info last.

David and All!

For those of you who thought the gas field was a bust, there may be future potential...take a look at the SLHO news release from yesterday and see what brought a 16 pt jump in that puppy....I wonder if the Pickens boys knew about this? Anyone have any comments about whether this means anything to us or not? :-)
