There were lots of crazy wannabee's like the SDS and other crazy people like the communists.

There were those strong enough to oppose primitive ideas like the Berkeley kids and then there were those society rejected who were hangers on.

I can see how one would be confused by it though.

UC Berkeley defined our existential movement.

All the 60's was about, was gaining freedom to manifest one's destiny.

Up until the 60's every person on eart, for all of history, had to live according to what their society, family and religion told them to. We kids said, no we can live any way we want as long as we do not hurt anyone or society.

We said every person has the right to manifest their destiny how they see fit.

Simple as that.
