A couple of my cousins retired from UAW jobs in Indiana....their race relations were so good that they had to group up in the parking lot before entering the plant for safety.....Otherwise their brothers in labor would gang assault them.

Just lovely union race relations there, but to be fair, there were some minimal production expectations at the time which would lead to unbearable conditions for the average union worker.....If I could catch one of that brand of vehicles at about half the going market rate was the only way I'd ever consider buying one.

bull shit you have never worked in the northeast or even the midwest union construction sites. no blacks. I have done 100 jobs plus there
longnshort, I worked as a union rep. for the National Education Association over the US including the East Cost, and Midwest. If you do not call the 25 unions I worked with not unions then I agree with you.

I personally bought cages of beer, hamburgers, etc. for union presidents, etc. labors, operating engineers, united mine workers, City police and firefighters, steel workers, IBEW, etc. where we signed a pack, "if one union was broken then all were broken." Since one town was made up of 98% union workers we were able to almost lock down the entire city to the degree that the school superintendent, a little dictator, was scared as hell to go to work. Since the city and firefighters were on our side the Superintendent was transported back and forth to his work by a State Trooper.

Therefore, longnshort, don't lecture me what it is to be a union member!!!! I belonged to my staff union w/i my union bargaining against union management who were on a 50 workday strike against union management. All of us union members were trained by the Saul Alinski Institute. Sounds to me that you were a union member who scabbed their other union members.

IMO, there is nothing worse than being a SCAB. Like we do with scabs, we need to pick them off and throw them away!!!! Or, send them to HELL!!
