G.T. Interactive Software Corp (GTIS)

UBS Securities said it raised its rating on shares of G.T. INTERACTIVE SOFTWARE CORP to buy from hold. Company announced it ended its merger agreement with MicroProse, citing "material dilution" to 1998 earnings, analyst Michael Wallace said in a research note. "With the uncertainties of a MicroProse merger out of the way, we feel more confident in our outlook and earnings estimates for GT Interactive," Wallace said.
Sets $10 to $12 per share price target. (Reuters 11:53 AM ET 12/08/97)

Cheers
Bill
P.S. We were at $12+ before the merger fiasco, he's not much of a risk taker is he, considering the stock opened above $10 before selling down today.

"SOWBUG" (nice handle) got it off DowJones Newswireabout 10:20 AM EST. Came thru BMI R/T Satellite feed. YAHOO???????? Yahoo is putting out today (MONDAY) at 10:38 news that came out Friday on my smallcap favorite CHTT. Dow screwed it up Fri. but corrected it after 4pm. Yahoo put the new out today in its UNCORRECTED form. CHTT was trying to get it on the wire in the corrected format as of this evening it hadn't came out. I talked to the company twice this evening they said they had chased it down to Standard and Poors newsfed picked up by YAHOO. It will be good news when it finally settles. Earnings above expections this year and a 20% growth rate next year. No ASIA, no busted takeovers, just nationally branded consumer drug products. Friendly chart looking for several point run (my target 18) when it gets out. Good luck on your GTIS --I'm am long also 2K.
