But recent events have brought about a kind of activism that is likely to set the pattern for a new social movement with far reaching implications. For one thing, applications for gun ownership have skyrocketed in Colorado this year, which indicates a counter movement to the Democratic party controlled congress, which does not appear to have a clue about the pulse of the people they are supposed to be representing. There have now been two law suits filed against Colorado Governor Hickenlooper. * The first one by 55 Sheriffs in Colorado, which is still working its way through the system. * The second one was filed by Rocky Mountain Gun Owners last week.
