Dear Jane, I am always willing to reason the scripture with anyone who is reasonable as you are. The Kabala is not anywhere close to what I refer to as scripture. The Jewish religon has their own Jim and Tammys per se. What our job with God is to sort out the Holy scriptures from the Bible only and love the people who are going astray as the Good Shepard try to lead them back to Him. If they resist we can not use slander because Jesus says a slanderer is a murderer. This requires a constant gaurd of our hearts. Thats were the people who find errors the Jews are making should seek the Lord with longsuffering and tears as I do for Gentiles and Jews. If I had started battling with my New Age neighbor the results may have been different. From my understanding of the New Testament scriptures our goal is to give them the gospel and to follow the Lords example in Matthew 25:31-46 When the Son of Man comes and all the angels with Him He will sit on His throne in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him and He will seperate the people one from another as a shepard seperates the sheep from goats. He will put the sheep on His right and the goats on His left. Then the King will say to those on the right, Come you who are blessed by my Father take your inheritance, the Kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in. I needed clothes and you clothed me. I was sick and you looked after me. I was in prison and you came to visit me. Then the righteous will answer Him Lord, when did we seee you hungry and feed you or thirsty and give you something to drink. When did we see you a stranger and invite you in or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you? The King will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever you have done for one of the least of these brothers of mine you did it for me. It continues to repeat the scenario in reverse. It is amazing that He did not pick people who argued their point on the scriptures and preach. No He wants us to be activly loving people and through this you will learn who He is as you experience His love for the weak and needy times in their life. Even if they do not need things there are always ways to show love and gently with His leading share the Gospel with them. They too will see the love of God thru you and that is a wonderful experience. Our lives get so busy that it takes a MAJOR EFFORT to do these things. The Churchs I have been to say that you should not do works to gain your salvation. I totaly agree never have I ever had any thought that I could earn salvation but I want to know Him and do His will.I better go to sleep, Nancy
