Here is a satisfied customer comparing @home to his old ISDN.They were also discussing if one can fax with @home.

I have Cox@home and love it although in my first three weeks it has been down four times already. Only for a short while though. No longer than a day at a time. Customer service has been phenomenal. Regarding the faxability all I can tell you is they told me I would have to disable my regular modem. Then when they came out to the house they indeed did disable my regular modem and my fax is disabled (I have another dedicated fax line). The speed makes up for it. Ten+ times faster than ISDN. It's great. Now, having said that, as a stock investor, why would someone who believed in this technology (cable internet access) not invest in ATHM instead of Cox? ATHM
(Nasdaq) has agreements similar to the Cox agreement with almost all of the large cable provider around the country. They provide Cox with the goods here.
