Ted, The disparity wasn't that great during his time between business owners and the average joe. Actually, the disparity between the nobles and the commoners were much, much greater in that era compared to today. In any case, it was a vastly different age, and to cite St. Thomas Aquinas in a discussion about "social justice" makes no sense at all unless you want to relate his theology to the drive against modern-day class stratification.
