Elmendorf specifically mentioned the subsidies under Obamacare as major contributor to budgetary distress. Now, let me put this as directly as possible for you and Ten: Before Obamacare, budget difficult but sustainable. After Obamacare, budget unsustainable. How is that NOT Obamacare "destroying the country"? Assuming, of course, that the inability of the federal government to pay its debts is equivalent to "destroying the country", which I believe it is. When the federal, state, and local governments can't meet their obligations I'm not quite sure what you think is going to happen. But instead of an isolated disaster area like Detroit, it will be the same in Chicago, LA, and all the rest of them. If that isn't 'destroying the country' I just don't know what is.
