Jobs now require not only the requirements of the basic reading, writing and math, and computers, but must be able to interpret, problem-solve, and apply what they learned. The electives of humanities many of the time are left on the sidelines. Most public schools in the mid-west have a annual tuition of around $28,000 I have been told. With private college schools in the high $30,000-40,000. Many students may be better off if they entered a trade school for obtaining future employment.
