Yurie,as well as 3Com hold licenses from Data Labs to resell DL product under their own label. The sales by Yurie have been impressive. Acquisition of DataLabs is motivated by two considerations. First is their product line and 2nd even more important is the chance to absorb the DataLabs engineers and technicians into Yurie. The area where Yurie is located has a critical shortage of such talent. I think this acquisition is well founded and will permit accelerated growth both in product design and sales.

Thanks for your previous, 12/8, assessment of the ATM market.

A question: Can a cell phone (digital) be integrated into an ATM based network? Does this make sense? (I am thinking that with the integration of voice, data and video under ATM, the cell phone becomes a poor-man's network computer)
