I always worry that writing about legislative procedures is too boring for readers,

Its not that it is boring, people have had enough of dishonest spin and the frustration of feeling their voting positions are being managed buy hucksters.

Ted Cruz may be the only person in this battle left with any credibility (whether you agree with him or not), because what you see and hear from him is his honest commitment to changing the government, in ways that he truly believes are for the better.

Boehner sent the bill, along with a grandiose speech for the media knowing full well he does not expect to follow through on a threat to have the government shut down and never expected to have Obama Care rescinded. Everyone following the drama knows the Republicans expect the Senate to send the bill back at the 11th hour with some gimmies the Repubs want as long as they agree to let Obama Care go forward. It's not boring, it's damn disgusting.
