Hello America!

Please make sure you all cut down on driving and electric use so that we won't have such a large carbon footprint!

Thanks, America

Michelle and Barrack

P.S... here's a few of our vacation photos. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as we did visiting!

Honestly, you just haven't lived 'til you've stayed in a private 3-story villa at a 5-Star luxury hotel, the Villa Padierna.

It only cost $95,000, and I was able to hold the total bill under $500,000 for the week. What a bargain!

Thank you also for the use of Air Force Two and the 70 Secret Service personnel who tagged along to be sure we were safe and cared for at all times. Air Force Two (which costs $11,351 per hour to operate according to Government Accounting Office reports) only used 47,500 gallons of jet fuel for this trip and carbon emissions were a mere 1,031 tons of CO2. That's quite a carbon footprint as my good friend, Al Gore, would say. So, we must ask theAmerican citizens to drive smaller, more fuel efficient cars and drive less too, so we can lessen our combined carbon footprint.

But hey, Barack's Air Force One costs about $200,000. per hour to operate and with his many trips, he spent almost half a billion dollars on flights alone last year. Yeah, thats with a B? $500,000,000.

By the way, if you happen to be visiting the Costa del Sol, I highly recommend the Buenaventura Plaza restaurant in Marbella ; great lobster with rice and oysters!

I'm ashamed to admit the lobsters we ate in Martha's Vineyard were not quite as tasty, but what can you do if you're not in Europe , you have to just grin and bear it.

I know times are hard and millions of you are struggling to put food on the table and trying to make ends meet. So I do appreciate your sacrifices and do hope you find work soon.

I was really exhausted after Barack took our family on a luxury vacation in Maine a few weeks ago. I just had to get away for a few days.

Cordially,
Michelle Obama

P.S. Thank you as well for the $2 BILLION dollar trip to India!

P.SS. Thank you, too, for that vacation trip to Martha's Vineyard - It was fabulous! And thanks for that second smaller jet that took our dog Bo to Martha's Vineyard so we and the children could have him with us while we were away from the White House for eleven days. You know Muslim law doesn't allow you to travel with your pet.

P.SSS. Oh, I almost forgot to say thanks also for our two-week trip to Hawaii at Christmas. That 7,000 square foot house was great!

PSSSs We all had a fabulous time in Africa visiting Barack's birthplace. What a wonderful place!

PSSSss Now the girls and I are back in Africa with my mom.

Don't forget my ski trip to Vail this winter.

All this while Barack plays golf !

Thanks America! But you owe it to me!

Love ya!

Remember, we all have to share the pain of these hard economic times equally!

We love to redistribute and share the wealth.

Issa feared targeted by terrorists after Democrats revealed secret Libya trip...

Before Issa’s trip, Rep. Elijah Cummings, the ranking member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, issued a press release asking Issa to postpone his trip until he allows Democrats to join him.

“Although you claim that your investigation of the Benghazi attacks is bipartisan, your efforts to secretly plan an official trip to Libya — and then deliberately exclude Democrats from joining — is part of an unfortunate pattern of partisanship that undermines the credibility of this investigation,” Cummings wrote. “The problem with these actions is that they effectively deny Democratic Members the ability to effectively investigate this incident.”

Issa’s office responded on Thursday by lamenting the situation.

“Ranking Member Elijah Cummings’ reckless release of information was not going to deter Chairman Issa from conducting his oversight responsibilities in the wake of the Benghazi tragedy,” Issa spokesman Frederick Hill told The Daily Caller. “Fortunately, despite the media attention and resulting threat, no security incident occurred during Rep. Issa’s time in Libya.”

Reports: Rouhani Home with US 'Gift' of Silver Griffin

AFP 28 Sep 2013
breitbart.com

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Saturday brought home a 2,700-year-old Persian artifact the US administration gave him as "a special gift" to Iranians, media reports said.

"The Americans contacted us on Thursday and said 'we have a gift for you'," Rouhani told reporters upon arrival at the airport in Tehran, the ILNA news agency reported.

"They gave it back as a special gift to the Iranian nation."

Rouhani was speaking of a 7th century BC silver Persian drinking cup in the shape of a winged Griffin, a legendary creature with the head of an eagle and body of a lion.

It is reported to be worth more than a million dollars.

After being looted from a cave in Iran, the cup was seized by US custom officials in 2003 when an arts dealer attempted to smuggle it into the country, according to a State Department tweet.

Mohammad Ali Najafi, head of Iran's heritage organisation who accompanied Rouhani to New York, welcomed the news.

"We hope this will mark the beginning of the return of other artifacts," he was quoted as saying by the official IRNA news agency.

Rouhani made history on Friday by speaking on the phone to US President Barack Obama in the first contact between Iranian and American leaders since the 1979 Islamic revolution.

Governor Palin: " don’t believe America has ever seen such a thing"
..................................................................................................................................
Facebook.com ^ | 1 October, 2013 | Sarah Palin

I don’t believe America has ever seen such a thing. The leader of the free world just followed Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s honest, visionary, and serious U.N. speech with a speech of his own in the Rose Garden. More like it, President Obama just recorded essentially an infomercial on the disastrous Obamacare rollout. In a speech full of unserious claims and low-level false accusations against those who disagree with his liberal, unworkable policies, this president engaged in doublespeak without even blinking. It was unreal.

Obama just proclaimed all our predictions about Obamacare were wrong. The economy is doing great, he claimed, though he dare not direct that to the millions of people who are being kicked to part-time employment, to bankrupt cities, to shuttered Main Street businesses, and to conscientious taxpayers suffocating under a $17 trillion debt.

Obama just claimed for the umpteenth time there will be no health care rationing (aka “death panels”), but apparently Howard Dean, Paul Krugman, and Obama’s own former director of Medicare and Medicaid (and anyone who read the IPAB section of the monstrous bill) didn’t get the memo on that one.

Obama just claimed that the last government “shutdown” in 1996 hurt the economy, when in fact he knows the stock market boomed. I guess he thinks he can furlough reality too. He’s also claiming that he cut deficits in half. In what alternate universe? And if that’s the case, then why does he insist on yet another enormous debt ceiling increase?

The White House is now condescendingly comparing Obamacare’s numerous “glitches” to Apple software updates. The difference is we can CHOOSE to buy Apple products; no one forces us. Obviously the comparison is ridiculously unserious as we find out the harsh, life-changing punishments this new arm of the IRS will hit us with if we don’t buy Obama’s forced product.

Among so many other distorted things, Obama just declared that “Obamacare is open for business” – well, aside from all the “glitches” I guess. His infomercial sent people to broken websites and a hotline that seems permanently on hold. And this same bureaucracy will now be in charge of our health care, which is 1/6th of our economy. Nah, surely nothing could go wrong with that.

The majority of Americans are against Obamacare despite all of the rhetoric fed into Obama’s teleprompter. And amazingly, of course, Obama blamed fiscal conservatives and tea party patriots for the problems and even for this partial government shut down that he and Harry Reid drove. He declared he would NOT negotiate a solution with them, but then in the next breath he said he’s open to hearing from anyone with a better idea. Doublespeak.

Bottom line, sadly our president passes the buck and cries that he has no responsibility in all of this. He acted as if he, the leader, didn’t have any responsibility to pass a budget either – even during his first two years in office when he enjoyed total Democrat control of Congress and the White House.

What a difference in leadership style and substance we witnessed today on U.S. soil. The two speeches said it all. A Warrior unifying his nation and their allies, and a Community Organizer un-organizing and dividing his own.

- Sarah Palin

Obama Inc. Tries Barackading George Washington’s Mansion, Doesn’t Own It
.......................................................................................................

October 4, 2013 By Daniel Greenfield

Barackade Obama is starting to act like some kind of supervillain. Except his only superpower is senselessly blockading national monuments to convince the nation that Republicans are evil.

It’s not a great plan. But then he’s not a great thinker.

And this time he picked a fight with America’s real president. President Washington.

The National Park Service blocked parking lots at George Washington’s Mt. Vernon Estate and Gardens “due to a misunderstanding over the ownership of the spaces,” according to Melissa Wood, Mt. Vernon’s media director.

Mount Vernon officials approached the NPS, which removed the barricades “as soon as they realized their mistake,” Wood says, adding that the Park Service maintains the parking lots, but Mount Vernon owns the property.

Did the National Park Service really not know what property it owns and what property it doesn’t own? That level of incompetence is almost plausible, but not quiet. It’s easy enough to check a budget.

The Mount Vernon site states, “George Washington’s Mount Vernon is privately owned by the Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association and will remain open despite the threat of a shutdown of the federal government. Despite some reports to the contrary, our parking lots are open and available. We stand ready to welcome all visitors to the home of our founding father and first president.

“Mount Vernon has never accepted any government funds throughout its long history.”

That last sentence would have seemed odd a few weeks ago. And then suddenly Barackade Obama decided to shut down any site in any way affiliated with the National Park Service even if the NPS doesn’t staff it or run it or even fund it.
