i would be careful with oracle this missed was waiting to happen and asia is good blame. the companys number have been backended and the last three quarters you couls see them strugling to make the numbers, would not be surprised if the stock trades around 26 in the short term, better buys out there

Thanks for the input. I initiated a partial ORCL position today at 22 15/16. I am generally a long term investor and this seems like a great opportunity to me. Much like CA at the end of last year, or CSCO earlier this year. I took advantage of both of those over reactions and made great returns in less than 12 months. I don't mind if I don't catch the exact bottom. Looking forward 12-24 months I see returns of 50-100% significantly less downside risk. I have reserved additional funds for ORCL should the market choose to act even more irrational.
