Rex I agree with your idea of consolidating the questions to management. Since there has been no answer to my old question I will repeat it:

Since the SmartMedia is gaining ground as an alternative to CompactFlash I would like to
know if there is any Sandisk technology in it? (=$$$ for SNDK) Can somebody help?
This was announced in August and I wonder if it relates to SmartMedia?

SUNNYVALE, CA, Aug. 5, 1997 -- Toshiba Corporation and SanDisk Corporation
(NASDAQ:SNDK) today announced that they have signed a cross-licensing agreement
for flash memory related patents.

Under the agreement, Toshiba and SanDisk have licensed each other's patents covering
design and manufacture of flash memory products, giving both companies worldwide
rights to use those patents. Specific terms of the agreement are confidential.

Rex - I think the report that you guys did was excellent. I will be happy to try and maintain communications with Eli, but I don't want to tie him up too often. By the way, he answered my inquiry within three hours. Go Sandisk!

Second the nomination.

Rex,
RE: I might suggest that we consolidate our questions to management and have one voice ask questions. That way, SNDK management will not have to deal with many interruptions. I want my management worrying about sales and technology. I nominate Michael C. Woodward.

Fine with me. Michael can be the SI conduit to SNDK management.

Seems the current question in a lot of our minds is competition with SmartMedia. I suggest Michael ask SNDK about competition with SmartMedia, and if there is benefit (royalties) to SNDK.

It was reported that SanDisk technology would be included in 90% of the digital cameras sold at Christmas, but this seems to conflict with reports of the proliferation of SmartMedia.

Am I missing something here?
