czechmate....took me a while to track this down as his phone was not being answered for months. He was someone I grew to respect over the years...could sniff a scam stock a mile away. Saved me a bundle on more than one occasion. <g> He had an unwavering moral compass. You taught me a lot. RIP. THOMAS CHARLES SPETA ( Thursday, 16 Apr 2015 ) In the early hours of April 16, Thomas passed away peacefully after a short but bitter battle with cancer in St. Albert, AB. He took his last breaths surrounded by many of those who loved him. He is predeceased by his father and mother, William and Johanna as well as his brother Kurt, but leaves behind his brothers and sisters Kelly, Jannie, Ernie, Bill, Rose, Bob, Ron and Carol, his children Jodie, Stacey (Kevin), Susan, Shamus (Shawna), and grandchildren Noel and Kieryn as well as another grandson due this September. Thomas was born in Germany, and immigrated to Wilmer, BC with his family at age one, attending David Thompson Secondary until leaving the valley in his teens. He resided in Ontario, Alberta and several different British Columbia locales before settling in Chilliwack, BC for the past 10 years. Those who knew Tom will remember the strength of his spirit, his deep, rich laughter, his heartfelt advice (however unsolicited), and above all, the fervent way he loved his family and friends and all of the love and adoration he received from them in return. You can rest easy now Dad, it?s always 1973 where you are. We love you.
