Why not an Affordable Bike Act?

Message 29131210

... justified on the grounds that it would reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve public health. Climate scientists and health care experts had reached a consensus about the need for mass bicycle commuting, and lawmakers took action through the Affordable Bike Act (ABA).

Obama can talk-the-talk, but he cannot walk-the-walk.

Given the past week’s events in Nairobi, Kenya, the church bombing in Pakistan, and the continuing attacks on U.S. military personnel in Afghanistan, does anyone believe that the mission of dismantling the core of al Qaeda has been achieved?

“We’re no longer in a Cold War”, Obama told UN delegates. Just because he believes his own delusions, that doesn’t mean they’re reflect reality. We are in Cold War 2.0 with Russia even if he doesn’t think so. Putin went out of his way to mock him. Prospects for any successful negotiations with Iran don’t exist, but don’t tell Obama that.

Warming is a (95%) sure thing

An almost meaningless statement. The controversy is not mostly about whether the Earth has gotten warmer.

You don't have any consensus of a 95% chance of

"The earth is rapidly warming overwhelmingly because of human emissions of CO2, and unless we drastically cut CO2 emissions to a tiny fraction of the current emission rate (which we can do at a reasonable cost) the seas will rise rapidly, flood much of the area of many coastal cities (and most of Florida and Bangldesh and many island countries), cause a massive extinction event through ocean acidification, and result in many more extreme tornadoes, hurricanes droughts etc."

Climate change, or even the subset global warming, isn't a binary issue despite the extent that both sides tend to treat it that way all the time.
