market thinks dell is better positioned.
it's ignorance..they don't understand that the sub k is small part of cpq's business but it's easy profit.
but, cpq will make money on the sub k pcs.
plus..cpq sells million dollar servers and tandems now.
like ed said...the market is focusing on sub k too much.
the market is also focusing on only USA...
i think the rest of world could blow out in 4q97,.
I close spreads when I get above the top end and I quit getting $ for $ on the further move up.
You can close the coms now and sell the april 85 put and buy a april 60 or 65 put...bull put spread.

On buying the april call and and selling a call each month.
that works since cpq has the volitility now and when they split they are 40 dollar stk.
If it goes up one month, then buy it back and roll up and out.
the volitility will mean a fallback the next month and you buy that call back..
right out of mcmillan.
either straegy is okay..I haven't thought about which is the best.

buy yourslef some jan atml 22.5 calls too.
