Shane, you seem knowledgeable about semi-quip companies (COHU is also one of my favorites).
What do you think about AMAT?
What about their new equip to use copper?

(Do you know the answer to the question of a couple of posts ago? Are the charts after a stock split adjusted for volume?)

Yes, they are. I use AIQ's package and it handles this nicely.

Speaking of AIQ, I'm lurking on this thread because it gave three consecutive weekly buy signals to UTR (11/14,11/21,11/28). I think the worst is over. I added it to my "prospect" list, but I'm not near buying the stock.

Hi Shayne,

Thanks for your thoughts! Very interesting. Sorry 10/28 hit you hard. Was going to send you an e-mail, but didn't see a listing on your profile--if you're so inclined, drop me a blank message.

I agree on the attractiveness of the $100-500 Mil caps. Lots of good opportunites that are relatively undiscovered, and that the big guys can't pounce on.

Interesting you like COHU. It's on my watch list too. I'm a bit surprised it hasn't performed better recently. Would welcome your thoughts on why (other than valuation) it stands out among the equip makers. Sure seems nicely diversified.

Best,

Dave
