I inherited a huge arsenal from my father. Then I got rid of it and didn't have any guns for about 20 years. When the right-wing started buying guns and ammo left and right, I picked up a pistol and a shotgun for home defense, in case they ever go postal. You should too.

Let's face it, guns are sanctified in the constitution, and we'll never get rid of them. So, don't be the liberal with reasonable dialog at a gunfight, which is Ted's plan.
