So, ALL those interventions were WRONG?????

I THOUGHT all Americans were CRAP.

Did you see my previous post where I gave up my "real identity" of Hung Long?

Once the Chinese are running things it will be people like YOU "Broken_Clock" that are honored and rewarded for their wisdom.

Some of those interventions might vaguely qualify as "imperialistic", most of them, or at least most of the biggest ones do not.

Out of the ones you mention WWII, and the Quasi-War (undeclared naval war) with France clearly do not. China in 1945 was clearing up after WWII. "In October 50,000 U.S. Marines were sent to North China to assist Chinese Nationalist authorities in disarming and repatriating the Japanese in China and in controlling ports, railroads, and airfields." en.wikipedia.org

Kosovo and Afghanistan are closer, but they were both in response to attack. Afghanistan in response to an attack on the US. Kosovo - to defend Kosovo.

The best examples of "imperialistic" wars would be the various "Banana Wars", but only if you define Imperialistic broadly. They were not actually to establish an empire. But they where in a number of cases pushing around other countries, sometimes to get beneficial trade situations or intervention in other countries civil or revolutionary wars. Some of them could reasonable be considered imperialistic wars.

On 2nd thought those really aren't the best example. The best examples would be the various Indian wars, some of which where straight up wars of conquest. Those would be imperialistic wars without any broad definitions needed.

But in general terms "interventions" != empire.
