Brendan, That's a problem. Folks spew their opinions as facts,
and if they sound even halfway credible, it gets propagated. No
fault of yours, but don't buy something someone says as data unless
they state their source or at least have a proven track record.
That kiz100 person seems to know something about the dd industry,
but if you read the posts you'll see they're a bit wacky IMO.

If Caleb gets their drive to market instead of it being vaporware
(just like Castlewood AND Sony), then we see what the pricing and
performance MIGHT do to us, and when sales figures come in we see
what the consumer is doing and act accordingly, but stuff like
"I hear Improbability Inc. is introducing the new pan-galactic-data-blaster do everything floppy for $10" doesn't
help much without a reliable source.

btw, one of those posts in MF has a phone number for Caleb. You
could call them and let us know what you find out about price &
performance of their drive.

Go IOM!

ps "Caleb" means DOG in Hebrew.
