No, Obama is anathema to moderate and conservative alike in the GOP. The GOP is a stagnant and broken party that is more interested in their own power than in doing what is good for this country. They will quite literally not vote for something they believe in, if it results in the Dems getting credit for the policy success. Also, I think the GOP is a party that has delivered us crony-capitalism, torture, endless war, massive deficits, money printing, Citizens United, NSA spying on American citizens, Homeland Security, discrediting Climate Science, and has become almost wholly ideological.

Truth is I can't find much to like about the GOP. Even when they say they want to reduce deficits, I think it is bullshit. They had a chance to maintain Clinton's balanced budget, but they gave us two tax cuts and two wars. They don't give two shits about the deficits and debt. They are just using those words as a way to bludgeon Obama and the Dems.

Having said all that, you know I can't stand the Dem economic policies either. The only good left in either party are the Dems stances on social policies such as environmentalism, willingness to help the poor, not getting in the way of two adults who want to marry, and at least trying to refrain from endless war. If only the Dems had one lick of sense when it came to economics and monetary policy, then it would be a great party.
