Keister, Doofus, and Swantz initiate coverage of America Online with a "me too" rating and a 12-month price target of $1700. KD&S analyst Nancy Case says that the P/E multiple of over 1000 times next year's earnings is "justified given AOL's recent advertising growth and customer satisfaction." Ms. Case adds that AOL should do well over the next millenium and that her projected earnings for fiscal 2997 are $2.00 a share, giving AOL "a more conservative P/E in the mid-triple digits for those investors with a long-term perspective."
