Bruce, Our group was simply called the Deltones. We had the names 3 years prior to Dick Dale and the Deltones coming on the scene. We did play one time as an opening act at LeSoursville Lake and Dick had no problem with it since we had no record releases out but told us he would appreciate a name change should we decide to do so. We were fortunate enough to have opened for all the acts that I mentioned previously but being in school and broke half the time we never pursued anything further as you had to put up alot of your own money to get started in those days. I do have a copy of a demo we cut where I sing lead on, a song I wrote called "The Two of Us in Love". What a classic. (gg) "Grupo"
