Let's see.

How about you write me a check for $100. On receipt of said check, I erase everything but the signature and replace it with the language of my choice. Maybe $1,000. Then, I negotiate the check.

Would you consider THAT to be corrupt?

That is precisely what Harry Reid did with the legislation the House passed.

Of course, that's just the beginning.

Pretty much what I said. The problem is that these horrible, failed programs are politically untouchable and they, not the mere $18 Trillion, are the problem.

You're right CJ. Elections have consequences. The makeup of the House of Representatives is most representative of the population in general. What happened to the makeup of the House in the 2010 election? That was after the passage of ACA. Republicans are doing what the majority want them doing.
