My intent here is to read and post. I will say things if you read my posts, but am unlikley to add anything brand new, except my opinion, until the NAXOF does. I have an opinion that I have formed, you may not agree with me. I do not like this company, again, you may not agree with me. A company is an entity. It is also, in a limited fashion, all the individual units which comprise that entity. Care and consideration must be given to that idea. Every shareholder of NAXOF, real or otherwise is an entity as well, an entity with more legal rights and responsibilities than NAXOF herself. I can choose to believe or disbelieve anything which others may believe to be true, imperiling only myself if my belief's are not borne out.

The ship was moving with the fog bank being pushed along slowly and surely. The fog was the cause of some grumblings. Lore relating to weather is dear to the hearts of those who love the sea. This persistent fog and the slowly dawning wind signified something ill, the pleasant weather of the last little while might soon take a turn for the worse. The NAXOF was continuing on her course with several small topsails holding her line. Her last engagement had occured awhile ago when several small ships had closed in enough to take several rounds of shot with her. The initial volleys had gone wildly by but had been costly. The flotilla had paid the price to learn her range but the display had been convincing. The NAXOF as I previously mentioned had several large guns. The shot used by these guns was heavy enough to hull almost any boat. The range was also formidable. A single demonstration of her gunners skill fulfilled her reputation as a fearsome fighting ship. She would not be a match for any true warship of the line, but her presence in the current arena was daunting. The current arena was controlled by a sovereign nation which had recently proposed several new gun emplacements. The experience of the NAXOF crew with gun emplacements also contributed to the general sense of unease. She still had to cope with this fog, it had appeared and engulfed the ship making navigation all but impossible for the helmsman and the lookout (if this isn't clear see linked post above). The NAXOF knew the small flotilla always pursued but were convinced that the last demonstration should suffice. The refit for a new hull was due sometime soon and everyone wondered how it would go off. The treasure pursued by ALchemist was of mythic proportion and with the refit everyone doubted that it would take a LONG TIME to get what they all so desperately wanted, a share in this treasure. Laughingly the crew joked with a young cabin boy who had knowingly confided that he knew all the names of the treasure since the hunt had started 17 years ago. The older crew members sipped there CC's and winked at the joke. The search of the NAXOF was guided by age old principles, an older wisdom, a higher altruism, the pursuit of truth itself. ALchemist is actually the only person who knows what he sees in his mind's eye as he gazes inward at the graal of his belief. The crew can only grasp a fraction of the smaugian hoard that he contemplates. Even a glimpse of the reflected "dire glory" is overwhelming. The crew is solidly behind this treasure hunt and fully aware of all the consequences, but sailors live and die by the code of the sea.

As stern as possible.
