Pat: It's time to buy more. 1998 is going to be a tremendous year IMHO in the U.S. for new adds, new products, services, etc. Nextel isn't just selling a talking service with basic paging, voicemail, etc. like the other PCS providers. Nextel is building a vast new communications network. And they are able to successfully do this without playing the same cutthroat commodity pricing game because their Direct Connect is a killer app which, now on a flat price for unlimited use per month, blows away the pricing and service power of the competition. Going forward, look for Nextel to begin charging for secure data transmission on a bit for byte basis, going after the core communication needs of businesses through their assocication with NextLink and later Teledisic, all the while pushing their foreign buildout campaign all the more aggressively. And watch out for the day when Nextel is able to receive connection revenues from other long distance and local providers. Congress allowed for this last year and it's only a matter of time before Nextel and other companies work out the billing and sharing details. This is Nextel's add-on pot 'o gold. AT&T gets $20+ billion in revenues from that source alone each year. That's why AT&T is running so scared right now.

Craig's wife has been selling. This is going to be looked at as one of the best buying opportunities of ALL time for Nextel.

I am buying more, period. Good luck!

Pat: A wise man said"only gamble with an amount you can afford to loose"

If you move your stock around, without doing indepth research, you will be gambling. I can't give advice on investing or financial management, I make that especially clear to clients. I want to he a hero, if a gamble fails, then who's to blame?

Obviously, you have been reading this thread. The contributors are not only people bullish on Nextel, but professional investors. Some have done extensive research and shared it with the rest of us. Let your intuition be your guide. The cookie jar sounds like a good alternative, open it often to make sure the cookies are fresh.

In the past I have made some humerious contributions, but your question is serious, thus, I have to put on another hat.
