All I know is what the price indexes tell me. If prices go up continually over a decade and show something like 7-8% inflation per year and the BLS shows only 2% inflation per year, then the BLS assumptions are understating things. Hedonics and substitution is what is making the BLS numbers look too low. It is what it is and the BLS will openly tell you that they use those methods. Not sure why people are surprised or why they refuse to believe the BLS does this. It's on their website.

Key Lime and Honey, eh? That sounds absolutely delicious. Let me know how it shakes out. I tried a new lemon herb marinade this last weekend, which was superb. My mainstay, though, is the Jamaican Jerk marinade. That stuff is just so good with a beer, it's hard to replace. One of the things I'm experimenting with is to get a nice Shawirma chicken marinade. I've tried yoghurt, lemon, garlic, and shawirma powder, but somehow it never comes out quite like my local middle eastern restaurant does it. If you ever come across a good recipe for that, let me know. Happy grilling! :)
