Do you recognise any moral principles? Yes, a few: One should make no rules that one cannot follow oneself. One should make no rules that lead to self-destruction. One should treat others as one would like others to treat oneself. One should not treat others in ways that one would not like to be treated. Avoid judgments that cannot be unmade, while understanding the limits of all individual knowledge and judgements. Minimize depredations and maximum contributions, and develop the wisdom to know the difference. Practice a mindfulness of emotion and reason before judgments. Keep one's own council when rational thought is available, or seek the council of trusted others when it is not. Seek first to understand, then to be understood. Avoid lose-lose scenarios, and seek the greatest degree of common ground with others. Don't make a fist when explaining one's point of view. Greater sins require greater efforts in forgiveness. Genetics and biology may trump moral principles. Don't construct moral principles based on diseases of the brain, specifically, or the body, generally. Moral principles can be a helpful guide, but don't be afraid to reassess one's assumptions.
