Western Show (Cable Conference), 8-10 December, Anaheim

According to remarks attributed to John Taylor, Zenith doesn't plan on making any mass media announcements prior to, during or after the Western Show but will be networking with cable systems and the trade media. Dumb move John. If you don't toot Zenith's horn, who will?

Has anyone else been hearing the radio commercials Zenith has been running pitched at the Generation X crowd? "You're way beyond what your parents had. Way beyond sitcoms. What you want, is to find the edge and stay there. Take a ride with Zenith..."

You can tell they're pitched at the younger demographic groups because the script uses that obnoxiously overused grammatical construction "It's about X. It's about Y. It's about Z." that's so prevalent in advertising these days. I find the commercial pretty annoying myself, but at least I have been noticing it, which is a good thing I guess.
What do others here think?

Something I noticed that seems odd is that one place I hear these commericals is on conservative talk shows like Ken Hamblin's, which I would think would have a considerably older audience profile than the commercials seem to be aimed at. No doubt it's a good idea to advertise to this audience, but the commercial really seems to be a mismatch for that audience.
