Of course its in part due to liberalism. Hi tech doesn't do well in wingerland.
You still have the impression that conservatives are nothing more than backwards, uneducated hicks.

By the way, Steve Jobs was a liberal, but the way he built up Apple and defended its business practices, you would think that he was a Koch brother.

That's the way it is in high tech land. The "reality distortion field" that Steve Jobs is famous for is alive and well here. It helps foster creativity and attract venture capital, but in the end it's all just profiteering.

The corp Ten works for isn't even considered high tech anymore. It produces a commodity item.
