We need a solution that doesn't humiliate either side.

Elections have consequences

You are suggesting we must find a solution to a GOP made up problem

That is bullshit

The Affordable Care Act is the law of the land

Why do the Democrats need to offer the GOP anything to recognize a law that was legally passed and cleared a Constitutional test from the SCOTUS

That is nuts

No, we don't. We need teabaggers gutted and fileted, and hung on lampposts, as a reminder to others to quit fucking up the government.

"The Reps want a negotiation."

Tough shit.

Negotiating with terrorists is stupid. (Change the Affordable Healthcare act that we couldn't change legislatively or judicially, "or else" we'll shut down the government and tank the US economy.)

So is negotiating with terrorists to release one hostage at a time (funding individual government agencies).

If the republicans want to use terrorism against the people of the United States as a bargaining tact, let them.

Those 30 Tea Party congressman will be all the party has left come the next election.

Great John Stewart quote, "Did you see the Giants game on Sunday?" he asked. "They lost 31-7. Do you know what the Giants didn't say after that game? 'If you don't give us 25 more points by midnight on Monday, we will shut down the f**king NFL.'"

So the Republicans have backed themselves into a corner, huh? Why on G*d's green earth would Obama want to do anything to allow them to save face? Negotiating with terrorists is stupid.

Let the new republican party bask in the glory of what they have become. Terrorists.

We need a solution that doesn't humiliate either side. The Dems say first pass continuing resolution and debt limit, then we can talk, The Reps want a negotiation. We need a prepackaged approach that goes something like the following:
1 Immediate round the clock talks to reach a consensus between Dems and Reps.
2. As progress is evident in the above, passage of debt limit and CR with no strings attached with the agreement to implement results of step 1 at a later date..

3. Passage of conditions agreed to in item 1.

No. What Wharf says.

Obama has tried negotiating before........repeatedly......with no success. Rs are operating on a sixth grade level. They need to be spanked........hard.
