Diplomacy works when both sides are predisposed to the idea of negotiations. When both side recognize that there is a need to clap and that clapping cannot be done with one hand. That is not the situation here. Besides, I mentioned before that this is a situation that is dictated by racism. We have a Black President who has been elected twice. What can be negotiated here. If it was dictated by economics, then the Republican big donors would not have chided the party for grinding this country's economy to a halt. They are Republican Party donors and for them to act that way is indicative of the breakdown of the Republican Party. More than diplomacy, what is required is for the Republican party moderates to stand up and challenge the extremists and anarchists.
