I still think it is not a major effort. I assume software drivers you were refering to are running at the host side. If so, another FC fabric vendor shouldn't make a big difference. The fablic is communicating primarily through the adapters in Sequent's case. Both Ancor and Brocade has demonstrated their interoperability with other adapter companies. Granted, not just unplug one and drop the other one in. But, it is not a major effort IMO.
