This means that 99% of the time with BBs you lose if you go long, even if the fundamentals are good.

I don't agree. If you have great fundamentals, are a growing company, not diluting to pay G&A; then you can win against the shorters. Without needing to dilute to run the company and with increased revenues each quarter, any bb with good fundamentals can wait out the shorts. The short position in this case has no detrimental effects on the company BECAUSE they have good fundamentals. Companies without good fundamentals (most bb) and who dilute on a quarterly basis to support G&A will ultimately be toast.
