They kept the parkways open because they are in actuality major commuter routes. They don't fear 90 year old veterans who they would willingly club to death with batons for walking onto the WWII Memorial, but they are SCARED of hundreds of thousands of commuters who will go BATSHIT if the parkways were really closed. There would be a real modern day Bull Run if Obammy the Muslim Horseshit Queen Bendover Boy closed the REAL parks.
