>> They passed a continuing resolution, 79-19. R's won't bring it to a House vote (cuz it will pass with bipartisan support).

You do realize that all appropriations legislation must originate in the House, according to our Constitution?

It really isn't the Senate's prerogative. Apparently, Harry Reid doesn't get that. Apparently, you don't either.

You might want to particular attention to this paragraph:

"Harry Reid is well aware of something else: the fact that more and more voters are ignorant of the way our government is set up and of the reasons it was designed that way. So he knows that he can get away with these ignorant-sounding remarks. He is very likely to also realize that some people who actually do know how the government is set up don’t care, or would even like that system changed."

"I think Israel needs to reassess their relationship with us. They think we are their best friend (true) and they are our best friend (false). In reality, they are more like our best friend in the 4th grade, while our best friends are probably fellow 5th graders England and Canada and maybe even France, who taught us how to kiss by sending us Lady Liberty, bearing a gift of McDonald's French Fries from the king of Ireland. I think.
Traditionally, while a friend of I, and at least willing to show up behind the backstop after school and hold their coat while they fight the Arabs, whose back is being guarded by Da Bear, we have attempted to be a somewhat honest broker of peace, especially with Carter and Clinton. Ike even had the sense to stand in the way and say "Not today, kids", when Iz, with our bestest buds E and F, went for the Suez Canal in ?'56. We give almost as much money to Egypt, and gave to the Palestinians until they bowed to our will and had an election and the wrong guys won, so we stopped the money. They may still think they are in that dark aberration known as "The burning bush returns in our lifetime? Who knew?" It is written that a burning shrub spoke unto the Likkudite, saying thusly " Howdy, Manishevitz Wine Folk. I bring a message from Dog. Call me George, BTW. Dog sez ignore what I tell the world in public, and go forth and settle in the land".

Iz has to understand that Peace is a better friend of ours than they are. We won't back them up if they challenge Iran to a fight. Those days are gone. Will we knock them out to protect them from themselves if they start a fight, to prevent a gang rumble? I dunno. We should at least warn them off. They need to think of the consequences to the entire world if they attack Iran. The school is bigger than just one fourth grade class.

Notyetayahoo is not to be trusted. Sharon wasn't above sparking the second intifada for political gain before an election, killing Clinton's last peace initiative for all time, not to mention a few people. Notyetayahoo makes Sharon look like a saint, I think. Wouldn't surprise me if he was making plans to attack Iran right now; and who knows about Obama?

We've got ways to pressure them. We give them lots of aid which we can stop. We vote for them on every UN resolution; we could even just abstain a few times. We could even suggest a boycott until they come to the table prepared to make for some concessions.
We need others to pressure the Pals, but we can pressure our young fourth grade friend a bit.

Can I go do chores now?"

Obama claims to be a Christian but I think that is a bit of a fib. He has come out strongly in favor of Muslims and even considers it his duty as president to represent them.

Obama quotes

"My job is to communicate to the American people that the Muslim world is filled with extraordinary people who simply want to live their lives and see their children live better lives." How is this his job? Wasn't he elected to be president of the USA?

"That experience guides my conviction that partnership between America and Islam must be based on what Islam is, not what it isn't." Partnership? Muslims don't believe in partnership or separation of church and state. There can be no partnership.

"I also know that Islam has always been a part of America's story." Yes of course the Pilgrims did not build the Mayflower the Mujahedeen did.

“It's only when you hitch your wagon to something larger than yourself that you realize your true potential.” You didn't build that so we'll feel free to take it from you and give it to some Muslim that didn't build it either.

"So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted." And we need to fund Arab Muslim countries by buying their oil. They didn't build that oil Allah gave it to them.

"Here at this site, Solyndra expects to make enough solar panels each year to generate 500 megawatts of electricity. And over the lifetime of this expanded facility, that could be like replacing as many as eight coal-fired power plants." As we bankrupt America with phony promises and richly reward my cronies in one fell swoop.
