They have boxed themselves in listening to their extremist minority called the Tea Party. They should not be given any way out. No negotiation. "You shall agree" is what the Dems hold onto very firm. This way, it will ring the death knell of the extremists and revive the true democratic moderates in the Republican party. You only kill a snake after you burn the dead snake.
