Re the French and their exceptionalist ideas, for "Nothing is impossible for the French", or so noted the inscription on a gold pen that was gifted to me for my fine advice deeply appreciated once upon a time. The pen is fashioned per the Place Vendôme Column which bears the same inscription. The geewhizbangohwhoawee pen is 1 of 35 in the world made by S.T. DuPont, bearing the number 22 (considered lucky by Cantonese as '22' in Cantonese is pronounced yi-sup-yi, sounding the same as 'easy, sure easy') of the series and is the only pen of mine I do not lend out.

Am guessing that the more outrageous market-maintenance experiments are still ahead of us. In the mean time Hong Kong is filling up w/ refugees from that land, and so our French eateries continue to increase in number as well as quality.
