There never was a plan. Cruz started chasing this particular car because he saw an opportunity to grandstand. Now that he has caught it, what now? He is a smart guy. He is probably used to just winging things and having them work out. But, there always comes a time when there just isn't a path to victory. And that might be the case here. That wouldn't be good for his ambitions. He has burned a lot of bridges to get to this juncture. I would like to believe that but Cruz is too smart and he serves a purpose. Many Rs consider him their prime presidential candidate. I am afraid he's not going anywhere..........not for a long time..............and that shows us just how messed up the GOP has become.
