There are many inaccuracies, distortions, perversions and much disinformation in the article which you linked. It would take far too long to cover every single one. What shoddy scholarship! For example:Those who classify themselves as Christians can be divided into 2 broad groups: those who have chosen to allow the Bible to be their final authority and those who have chosen to allow men to be their final authority. For sake of simplicity, I shall refer to the first group as "Bible believing Christians." The latter group has always been best represented by Roman Catholicism, by far its largest, most powerful, and most influential component. The Roman Catholic hierarchy has always boldly stated that it is not dependent upon Scripture alone, but also accepts tradition as another pillar of truth -- and where a conflict exists, tradition receives the greater acceptance. What tripe. These deceivers who make a pretense of being "Bible believing Christians" do not follow the Bible at all. For the Bible implores us to follow the Apostolic tradition. Just because the Roman Catholics have perverted the holy Apostolic tradition does not justify or excuse the abandonment of tradition altogether. Protestants are no less deluded than Roman Catholics. Protestants recognize that the Latin heretics have perverted the Apostolic tradition in certain instances, so their response is to toss out tradition altogether, and make a pretense of relying on Scripture alone. But this is impossible, and oxymoronic, for Scripture commands that we follow tradition. I just posted the verses in 2 Thessalonians and Romans a few posts back in my response to Emile. Christ would never command us to follow tradition and then not make available to us the means by which to discover what holy traditions we must adhere to. So the Apostolic tradition has been preserved throughout the entire age of the Church, and we are obligated to learn of it and adhere to it. Another example: When the Roman Catholic Church was founded by the pagan Roman Emperor Constantine at the Council of Nicaea in 325 A.D., The emperor St. Constantine the Great was not a pagan in 325 A.D. when the Council of Nicaea was called. He was a Christian. This author is either very ignorant or deliberately malignant. I should also like to point out that the Roman inquisitions took place long after the Roman papacy went into schism, separating itself from the Church. I don't have time to address every point made in that useless article.
