No one has been saved without using the tools written, approved and preserved by the Catholic Church. The Bible is the first tool of Protestant evangelism. Where did the Protestant get this God-ordained tool? From the Catholic Church. Where did Protestant get the idea of the Trinity? From the God-ordained Councils of the Church. It is wonderful that many Protestant do wonderful evangelism using the Catholic tools of the Bible and well defined trinatarian dogmas. Ultimately it's the Holy Spirit that brings people to Christ but the Church members use many tools to help the Holy Spirit.

We speak of the Eastern Orthodox Church to distinguish it from the Roman Catholics of the West, but in actuality, the Orthodox Church is the only genuine "Catholic Church". So it is entirely appropriate to call it the Orthodox Catholic Church. Rome and the apostate Latins in the West have attempted to misappropriate the term "Catholic Church," which really is a title for the Church Universal, and not the heretical Roman papacy. The Vatican is not the genuine Catholic Church, but merely an imposter. I should point out that it was not always this way. The false beliefs and teachings of the present-day Vatican were not held by the bishops of Rome (generally) for the first thousand years. There is nothing wrong with most of the Roman popes of the first thousand years, who did not teach purgatory, indulgences, universal primacy of the pope, the immaculate conception, and other heresies. There are many Roman popes who are canonized saints, like Pope Leo and Gregory the Great, for example. Just none from the last thousand years.
