I think Luther made serious spiritual mistakes and committed serious sins but I don't think one of those sins was racism or murder. As for his book about the JEWS AND THEIR LIES, he was mostly correct about what he said about their beliefs but wrong about the violence against Synagogue. I believe Luther was used by God to bring attention to the horrors and sin that had entered the Catholic leadership. There are many examples in the bible of God using evil individuals and systems to bring about justice and repentance---look at the Babylonian Captivity where God used Neuchadnessar and the Babylonians as a hammer against Judah to bring about repentance. He is, nevertheless, the father and inspiration of the modern Protestant movement.
