Ted, have you read the Dilbert comic where the Pointy-Haired Boss sends out an e-mail saying, "Due to inclement weather, all non-essential personnel can leave early."? Then he walks over to the window, pulls out his binoculars, and thinks to himself, "This will be the easiest round of layoffs ever." Same thing applies to this government "shutdown." All "non-essential personnel" have been furloughed. Well, if they were "non-essential" to begin with, why were they employed on the taxpayer dime in the first place? No need to answer, Ted.
