Obamacare forces people out of medically underwritten plans initiated after 3/23/2010. It's illegal to medically underwrite plans under obamacare. Therefore, my only option for insurance will be the obamacare exchange which would more than double my premium. Unless a change is made to the law, I will probably drop health insurance.

Others on this thread are saying otherwise. Personally, I don't know enough to tell you one way or the other. It does sound peculiar that a certain segment of the population would be cut out from Obamacare........they want it to be inclusive.

Thanks for the explanation, but that's terrible for you. Do you have a pre-existing condition? Aren't you afraid to be without insurance, even if it costs you double?
