Matthew 23:9
And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

"RC's violate Jesus as the ONLY mediator to God when they step in a booth and say "Father forgive me . . ." to a priest."

Roman Catholic Christians obey the command of Jesus when they confess their sins to Christ appointed leaders who were given authority to forgive sins:

John20
[21] Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
[22] And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
[23] Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

Your problem is simple Soros. You prefer to follow the invented traditions of tLuther and Calvin and others rather than the Word of God and the holy traditions of Jesus' Church.
2Thes.2
  1. [15] Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
Thes.3
  1. [6] Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

The most grievous violation of the holy traditions of the Church is when Protestants invent new forms of worship and abandon the Worship (Liturgy) given to us by the Apostles. It is through that holy Worship that the Holy Spirit has combined the fullness of the Law, the Prophets, the Psalms and the Gospels and Epistles in order to provide correct doctrine to the Church and correct worship. The pinnacle of that Worship is Communion with our Lord through His Word, His Body and His Blood.

The Bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit and written by the Catholic Church. It was also the Catholic Bishops who, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, canonized those books that we have today. Faith in Jesus Christ was always the beginning point of salvation followed by obedience of Baptism and Chrismation (laying on of hands for the Holy Spirit.)

Mark 16
[15] And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
[16] He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Matt. 28
18] And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
[19] Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Again you distort the teachings of the Apostolic Church with fables and half-truths.

"I've known many, many Catholics who were taught that a dying man, who was unsaved and unconscious, could be saved and in Heaven if someone would "baptize" them before official death."

I've never experienced this even once.

The official teachings of the Catholic Church on this matter is this: If an unsaved person declares faith in Jesus Christ on his deathbed, any Christian has the power to baptize them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and offer salvation in this manner.

"All of these things point out the flaws in the Roman Catholic Church, and IMO, any Catholic who truly is saved, will get there not because of, but in spite of the RC Church.

You identify a few things that are definitely problems in the Catholic Church and then you take out your big phoney Protestant brush and paint the whole Church doctrine and history with this brush. Clever but no thanks.

The Catholic Church has basically given western Protestants everything they possess as Christians----the Bible (although some Protestant choose to remove a few books from the Old Testament), the Trinity, the Nicene Creed, the structure of worship (although some Protestant fanatics remove Jesus' teaching on Holy Communion and Confession), and even your form of heresy. If you could trust the Catholic Church to give you the inspired and unaltered New Testament (the very soul and spirit of Protestantism), how can you possibly be anti-Catholic. How can you trust that this horrible "Babylonian Whore" didn't deceive you with the Holy Word of God?
