Go reread my post #442, especially the second paragraph. Until someone meaningfully addresses Mr. Dirks assertions, I would not buy this stock. However, since he is hardly a disinterested party, I also would not short it on the basis of what he said.

M.A., that does not give me a lot of comfort. The same "authorities " failed to catch Equity Funding and in fact I can not remember a time when a state agency "caught" an insurance company - usually it was the market place first and then the bureaucrats who have discovered odd goings on in any of the insurance companies that have had trouble over the years.

Same thing in the brokerage business ... it is the clients who get shafted and then the NASD or the NYSE or the AMEX get wakened to the facts, not the other way around. In the airline industry the FAA only wakes up after the planes crash.
