The employer whose employment I was quitting didn't care and why should they? Since I was resigning my job, I don't think they were obligated to provide me with Cobra?

Now my new employer obviously has to care for me. so when I approached them, they compensated me partially but get this. I had to pay tax on this amount since it was included in my yearly income. Now under Obamacare, if this happens to my kids (this happened to me 25 years ago), they do not have to think twice if they changed jobs.

So my point is there are some good points and some bad points in Obamacare. Some will benefit and some will get into a situation that is opposite. What would concern me is that the Govt. goes to sleep on the flaws of Obamacare and it becomes one giant monolith like the public education system is today. I hope the Govt remains vigilant to improve it in whatever way and whenever they can.
